Like an eternal wisp of memory 
You lived in my psyche 
Raging through my bones 
Lifting up my days 
Warming my frozen breaths 
With the essence of your grace 
Lifeblood in my veins 
You're the drug that keeps me sane 
But I can't find you..... 

I flicker desperately 
A little anxiously 
My heart skips beats 
My breath is torn 
It drags,

Trailing ragged broken streaks 
I'm groping, blinded 
By the absence of your exhales 
Upon my cheeks
I flutter, like a caged bird 
Struggling silently 
Resignedly 
Where are you......why did you leave!

I wish you'd taken me along 
Riding quietly on the wind 
I struggle to understand 
The caverns of this abyss 
Where words keep tumbling 
Hanging upside down, crookedly 
Loving me, senselessly 
Like dead leaves 
Fatally falling off....my poet-tree
