Aren't
we like children
Engrossed in our play of make-belief
Oblivious to stories unfolding around us
As if all is well with our little world of fantasy
As if today is going to last forever and a day
Ah! But that world of ours is so beautiful
Serene as the pristine snow
Sheltered from the storms by a love so strong
We lay hidden… speaking in whispers
Lest our love stained secrets be heard
For I know
The jealous winds gossip, and blooms speak to each other
But they do not understand
These transient moments
Life breaths
A dream, that we live,
If only within the blink of an eye and a shared heartbeat
A bridge between the dark night and the blue sky
Where amid the veils of a caressing mist,
Disparate worlds meet!
Engrossed in our play of make-belief
Oblivious to stories unfolding around us
As if all is well with our little world of fantasy
As if today is going to last forever and a day
Ah! But that world of ours is so beautiful
Serene as the pristine snow
Sheltered from the storms by a love so strong
We lay hidden… speaking in whispers
Lest our love stained secrets be heard
For I know
The jealous winds gossip, and blooms speak to each other
But they do not understand
These transient moments
Life breaths
A dream, that we live,
If only within the blink of an eye and a shared heartbeat
A bridge between the dark night and the blue sky
Where amid the veils of a caressing mist,
Disparate worlds meet!
